Welcome to the home of Mersey Beat, the ground-breaking
entertainment newspaper that gave The Liverpool Sound its name.
The Beatles were strongly featured from the very first issue
and used to drop into the Mersey Beat office to help out, answering
the phone, typing - John Lennon contributed a column. Mersey Beat Founder,
Bill Harry, started the publication 1961 and is behind the launch of
merseybeat.co.uk an innovative website specialising in rock
and pop memorabilia.
Mersey Beat brings you the opportunity to
own some of the most original and iconic images of the 60's when the Mersey Beat sound changed
the World; including Mersey Beat T shirts, books, CDs and prints. There will be regular additions to the memorabilia - mostly of an exclusive nature not obtainable elsewhere - all fully licensed.
In addition to rock and pop merchandise there is a huge amount of editorial material on The Beatles, Mersey Artists, rock and pop films and archives from the Mersey Beat Newspaper itself – to see the full list visit the Editorial page – the articles below are a taster of what is on offer:
